The Paint Job

In The Paint Job, a crew of meerkats works the problem with the focused gravity of a union job — one up the ladder, rolling stripes onto a partially finished zebra; the others managing paint and logistics below — while the zebra itself stands with the patience of someone who has learned to trust the process. The painting runs on two frequencies at once: virtuoso realism, every stripe and whisker rendered with exacting care, and a deadpan meditation on identity, labor, and what it means to become who you already are.
