Little Secret

In Little Secret, a fawn curls into itself, spots scattered like light through leaves, folded so small and still it nearly disappears into the shadows around it. Two fallen leaves rest nearby — the only other proof that something has settled here, and asked not to be found. Young and unguarded, best left undisturbed.
